Founded in Budapest in 1901 by prominent artists, the Fészek Club still stands in its original location. This experimental documentary explores the club’s history through a reimagining of its 1936 carnival ball, with scenes reshot in the summer of 2024. As the filming unfolds, the boundaries between reality and fiction gradually blur. The protagonist of the accompanying film, *The Machine*, is Ms. F. R., who believed that a machine inside the club’s building was controlling her thoughts and actions, turning her against the state.
