A mother torn between her son and his duty to defend his country.
Anat, a schoolteacher whose world is built on language and imagination, is waiting for her son Ido to finish his army service. When a new war erupts and she learns he has volunteered to fight, the bond between them begins to fracture. Caught between a father broken by war and a son rushing headlong toward it, Anat makes a radical maternal choice — in the final hours before Ido crosses the border into Lebanon.
