A comedy that makes us laugh, even though it’s actually sad. Sami, who lives in Jerusalem with her family, is invited to her brother’s wedding, so she travels back to the Arab village where she grew up.
When she returns home, the Israeli army unexpectedly closes the area, so she can’t get in or out. Palestinian reality is suddenly thrust into our laps through human stories.
The film has been nominated for the 94th Academy Awards and the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
